Microfinance is considered a critical channel to reduce poverty throughout the world. Information communication technologies *ICT* has immense potential to upscale microfinance operations pertaining to outreach and sustainability nexus of microfinance. Though since last 7 years, the performance of microfinance sector in Pakistan has placed it in the top quartile of global microfinance industry yet Pakistan is in embryonic stage to harness the power of different ICT products for delivering microfinance services in rural and urban areas. This is pertinent to remark that the deployment of any technology requires a substantial change in business model, figuring out the cost structure for building infrastructure and every market requires an innovative and appropriate solution for scaling operations. This dissertation is a complete study for requirement analysis of an appropriate solution from different ICT options to expand microfinance services. This dissertation focuses on value configuration for possible branchless banking model in Pakistan and highlights the gaps in electronic banking infrastructure that can choke the architecture building for franchise banking set-ups. This dissertation also details out a suitable business model for branchless banking option to administer microfinance activities in urban and rural areas of Pakistan.
