The thesis is being done in cooperation with a public organization named Thessaliniki's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, cited in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The purpose of this thesis is to provide a solid framework that will smooth a business IT environment transition and more specifically its Data Centre. Furthermore, it offers a deeper technical analysis for the newly installed infrastructure and explains how it handles data, describing its main characteristics.

The alteration at the organization's Data Centre mainly concerns changes at hardware compartments (Blade Servers, SAN) and involves a new software installation (ERP - SAP R/3).
